The General Plan Committee will meet at 9am Tuesday morning, July 31 to take public testimony and then recess to the MORNING of August 2 and continue all day for decision-making.
The Maui County Council’s General Plan Committee will continue to meet on the proposed directed growth boundaries for West Maui on Tuesday, July 31, at 9 a.m. in the Council Chamber, and may recess, if necessary, to August 2 at 9 a.m., Councilmember Gladys C. Baisa announced today.
“After I announced this week that the General Plan Committee may recess its July 31 meeting to its regular meeting time on August 2 at 1:30 p.m., I learned that the Economic Development, Agriculture, and Recreation Committee had also canceled its meeting. The unexpected cancellation allows the Committee to recess, if necessary, to the morning of August 2 instead”, Baisa said. “We are making progress, and I want to take every opportunity available to receive input from the public and for the Committee to work on the Maui Island Plan,” Baisa added.
