One of my biggest concerns rests with the all-too-common occurrence of developers requesting Community Plan Amendments, especially while we are currently in the process of updating them. We are not enforcing the Community Plans that we already have, and even worse, we are undoing the hard work of previous councils with every Community Plan Amendment request. This does not sit well with me.

Pulelehua Approved
The Maui County Council gave final approval to Maui Land & Pineapple’s Pulelehua subdivision Friday, clearing the way for the development of more than 800 new homes on 310 acres in Mahinahina. Read more at Maui News
Steep Hillside Bill at Council
A bill that would require additional review of developments on steep hillsides will come to the council for first reading Friday, Nov 4, 9am at the County Building 8th Floor. Pulelehua will be considered also at this meeting.
