NextEra to build huge windfarm at Kahikinui
According to Pacific Business News NextEra who is buying Hawaiian Electric Co. for $4.3 billion, is planning to build a 120+ MW windfarm on 500 acres of Department of Hawaiian Home Lands at the Kahikinui homesteadvia 35 year lease. It will be built, owned and operated by NextEra.
